Megan Touma a pregnant soldier was found dead in a North Carolina motel room at 5000 Morganton Road Fayetteville NC, where her body was discovered two days after she passed away. The Specialist was found after other occupants reported a strong and foul odor emanating from the room. The body of Megan Touma was then found tragically and decomposition must have set in which resulted in the smell. The worst thing about the death of Megan Touma was that she was pregnant at the time, about seven months heavy with child and it is a real tragic event for her family, friends and the community.

Megan Touma was just recently assigned to Fort Bragg and would have looked forward to a new post and assignment. Police are suspecting foul play in the death of Megan Touma, and you wonder what really happened to her or what might have caused anyone to want to harm a seven month old pregnant lady who was expecting a newborn in her life and had all ahead of her. They also mentioned that they thought this was possible since the death of Megan Touma was suspicious which is the chief reason why they need to investigate it.

Which such deaths happening to even women with child, which no one in the right mind should want to harm, it is even more important for other women to learn from this tragic death of Megan Touma and arm themselves well so they would be able to protect themselves in times of danger. Pregnant women are even more at risk as illustrated, unfortunately, by Megan Touma’s case and they, more than anyone else, should make sure that they are carrying tools or weapons of some sort to keep themselves at arm’s length from danger. It might not necessary be something that could cause bodily harm, but something simple like a pepper spray should be compulsory for all women, no matter how tough they think they might be.

If pregnant women were to carry something like pepper spray, they could at least buy themselves some time to call for help and prevent the same unfortunate fate to befall them like what happened to Megan Touma. It might be too late now for Megan Touma but her tragedy should remind women all over the world that no matter how far we have advanced, many still prey on women and they must learn some self defense of some sort. We have to do our part to make sure crime falls or is eradicated, so that we can together eliminate similar tragedies like that of Megan Touma from happening in the future.
