When Whitney Thompson won last night’s America’s Next Top Model, she literally changed the modeling world as we know it. Not only was Whitney Thompson the first plus sized model to get into the top three final round, she was also the first plus sized model to win the bitchy sideshow that is America’s Next Top Model. Whitney Thompson was not all cat’s claws and bad mouth as Fatima Siad, but she certainly was not the best compared to Anya Kop who should have swept the whole thing. But Whitney just had the edge over Kop with her bountiful booty and obedience to judges that finally won over the panel.

Not content with being the first official fat model to win the contest, and by saying fat we mean compared to the rest of the contestants and what we normally envisage to be models which means thin, emancipated and somehow having larger than life breasts, Whitney Thompson will now be thrust into our faces with the numerous cover spreads and commercials that should roll her way after winning America’s Next Top Model cycle 10. It is a definite achievement to win ANTM and Whitney Thompson being the new winner of ANTM, there should be many more good things to come for her and we will certainly hear more of her, if agencies decide the new way to go is plus sized.
