Beatles Albums That Inspired Some Of Us
Entertainment, Music June 13th, 2008
Or the Beatles albums that inspired me even though I am not the biggest fan of the Fab Four from Liverpool, England, as evident by the few Beatles albums that I actually own. Some of their music was truly beautiful, while some of it were downright horrible. My favorite was definitely the song “Eight Days A Week” off the Beatles album known as Beatles VI, as the tune was really catchy and had me singing along with or without it for days on end. In fact, I was so obsessed with the tune that anything after that was irrelevant to me. I never purchased the album after Beatles VI, as the Fab Four’s music began and ended for me with that one song. “Eight Days A Week” never seemed long enough, and I was even hoping that the week had more than that number of days.
The Beatles albums, as everyone knew by now, drove the world mad with the catchy ditzy songs, and they were a phenomenon worldwide, not just in their own country of England. They inspired millions of copycats even till this day, and the murder of John Lennon ranks as one of the most famous urban myths in the world. Ok, it is of course not a myth, and definitely a tragic event, but it drove sales of the Beatles albums through the roof, not just his own. To me however, Beatles VI was the best Beatles album for me and certainly the one that inspired me in my life. It made working five days a week seem like a walk in the park.
There are certainly other Beatles albums that might be named by music critics as being miles better than the one I like, but to each his own and everyone’s tastes are different. Music critics’ tastes are of course, in their opinion, much better than the rest of the world and common man, but sometimes they can call crap a beautiful thing, while I prefer to call the rest of the Beatles discography that term, and the best one for me is definitely Beatles VI. Which Beatles album is your favorite, and why?
