Amy Winehouse With Emphysema
Entertainment, Music June 23rd, 2008
Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with emphysema, which basically means that the troubled singer’s lungs are deteriorating and the damage is extensive. With all the crack cocaine plus nicotine from endless smoking of cigarettes, it will be due time before Amy Winehouse emphysema becomes total damage of her lungs. Perhaps the Amy Winehouse deathwatch has to be resurrected after initial reports suggested that the singer could be cleaning up her act. This incident where she was hospitalized about a week ago after collapsing and fainting in her home in London has suggested otherwise.
After being diagnosed that Amy Winehouse has emphysema, the junkie pop singer was then reported to have told her father not to worry while she laid prone on her hospital bed and said that she knew it was time to stop taking drugs. But we are not hearing this from her for the first time, and Amy Winehouse having emphysema will not be the end of her problems and drug addiction. Even this condition alone could cripple her if not treated soon. She could end up having to breathe with an oxygen mask for the rest of her life, and you wonder how she might look like on stage in that get-up singing the words, “They tried to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no.”.
So what could be next for Amy Winehouse after emphysema? Can she really enroll in a rehabilitation program and get her face out of all that crack cocaine she has sprinkled all over her living room floor? Will we ever get another album from the drug addict singer, because a total wreck she might be, but when she is on the top of her form, she can really sing. But do we really want to listen to Amy Winehouse with emphysema on CD?
