Atlantis Plastics Man Shoots Four And Himself At Henderson Kentucky

News June 25th, 2008

An Atlantis Plastics Inc. employee shot four others and then shot himself, all dead, at a plastics factory in Henderson, Kentucky. All four of the Atlantis Plastics employees shot were killed instantly, while the gunman also died from his self inflicted wounds. It was another tragic shooting incident in the United States which is fast becoming the most violent country in the world because of all the reported shootings including this one at the Atlantis Plastics Inc. factory in Henderson, KY, which would hardly be expected under any circumstances. Unfortunately it has happened and investigations are still going on as to what really happened.

The reports coming from the investigations on this Atlantis Plastics shooting incident seem to indicate some sort of argument between the gunman, an employee at the plant himself, with the plant supervisor. He must have gotten angry and decided to take matters into his own hands, which included shooting dead four other innocent colleagues and then himself. There have also been reports that two other Atlantis Plastics employees in this Henderson Kentucky plant were injured in the melee and they were the lucky ones. This tragic shooting incident at the Atlantis Plastics factory only brings to focus what we must do in order to protect ourselves everyday from violence that is growing in America. Rumspringa Amish Teens Running Around

Entertainment, News, Society June 25th, 2008

Rumspringa was talked about on an interesting show on ABC called “The Outsiders” earlier tonight and it really opened up our eyes on the lives and issues Amish teenagers and adolescents have to go through when they are young. Rumspringa is the Amish phase for teens belonging to that faith to choose for themselves whether to indulge in the outside world beyond the Amish faith or to stay in it. In effect, rumspringa does not seem any different from most teens phase in life known as teenage and adolescent years where just about everyone wants to rebel or taste the forbidden fruit before they get old mature and decide that life is just a routine unless you go on another rumspringa-like phase in your later years which is always possible because some of us never grow old and stay young in spirit.

But for Amish teens rumspringa seems to really leave them in a state of confusion as they do not know what to do and the impression I was given, I may be wrong, is that they do not understand why they have been left in the lurch to handle this themselves and why their faith actually allows it to happen. Should they not believe in their faith instead of having to go through a phase known as the rumspringa? Is their faith sending them into sin, which some might consider the rumspringa phase to signify. Read the rest of this entry »

Megan Touma Pregnant Soldier Found Dead Foul Play Suspected

News, Society June 25th, 2008

Megan Touma a pregnant soldier was found dead in a North Carolina motel room at 5000 Morganton Road Fayetteville NC, where her body was discovered two days after she passed away. The Specialist was found after other occupants reported a strong and foul odor emanating from the room. The body of Megan Touma was then found tragically and decomposition must have set in which resulted in the smell. The worst thing about the death of Megan Touma was that she was pregnant at the time, about seven months heavy with child and it is a real tragic event for her family, friends and the community.

Megan Touma was just recently assigned to Fort Bragg and would have looked forward to a new post and assignment. Police are suspecting foul play in the death of Megan Touma, and you wonder what really happened to her or what might have caused anyone to want to harm a seven month old pregnant lady who was expecting a newborn in her life and had all ahead of her. They also mentioned that they thought this was possible since the death of Megan Touma was suspicious which is the chief reason why they need to investigate it. Read the rest of this entry »

GM Cars Having Discount Sales?

News, Technology June 24th, 2008

GM cars are rumored to be on sale for many models, or at least the whole range of 2008 models. How true this is I am not sure but apparently they are raising the prices of GM cars for 2009 models so that might be a way to get sales before a dip is experienced when the newer models are in town. They are also rumored to be producing more GM cars to get more sales so that might be another strategy to improve their bottomline but I am not entirely sure of this as there are differing reports coming in on the situation with GM cars.

But another interesting bit is the development of GM cars which will have no drivers. Can you imagine not having to put your hands on the wheel and just sitting back and relaxing while the vehicle does all the work? I cannot imagine it but it would be a fantastic option for GM cars and owners who are simply tired of enduring driving through long jams which are always a pain in the neck, behind and back. Those long jams can also be a long term health hazard in terms of getting fidgety and irritated but with future GM cars perhaps we might not have to suffer through that anymore. Honda Scooter Review And Uses

News, Technology June 23rd, 2008

A Honda scooter is extremely useful for someone wishing to travel conveniently and not having to spend too much money. One cannot help but to picture the guy riding his Honda scooter while going to work, all the way traveling at a good and comfortable speed. You can also look cool on this vehicle, even though some might disagree. Riding a scooter is often viewed as being unglamorous, but riding a Honda scooter is of course different from any other similar vehicle that you might use.

You do not have to pay too much for a Honda scooter, since they come cheap and are quite affordable. In fact, their sales have seen rising volumes in the country for quite some time now, with the Metropolitan Honda scooter already sold out and you have to wait till the end of the year for yours if you wish to lay your hands on one. There are reasons why they are so popular and chief among the reasons must be its relatively lower prices and the design of the model. Read the rest of this entry »

George Carlin 7 Words The Crowning Glory Of His Work

Entertainment, News June 23rd, 2008

With his death, George Carlin 7 Words will forever be remembered as the crowning glory of his work and the one routine that everyone will remember him by. Many might find it distasteful due to the swear words that are peppered throughout but those are the ones who never really listened to it and understood the meaning conveyed in George Carlin 7 Words routine. Some of the lighter and less ‘distasteful’ bits include the lines that “fart is shit without the mess” and the insinuation that a certain animal related to a certain part of a man’s anatomy should not be considered dirty since it appeared in the Bible.

George Carlin 7 Words also had a lot of “fuck jokes” and those who never got the whole routine certainly did not appreciate what the roaring crowds always understood. Some people are far too serious in life and everything and they should listen more to George Carlin’s classic routine the 7 Words. Whether distasteful or not, different strokes for different folks, and it certainly does not disgrace him at this moment in time when we mourn his passing and his death. Memory Bears For The Memories And Times We Treasure

News June 23rd, 2008

Memory bears have always had a special place in my heart not only because they are cute and great to have when you are down, but also because they carry some special memory or meaning in my (and others’) life. Memory bears are especially great for one to remember a loved one who has passed away and left us in this world. Whenever you hold the doll in your arms and look at it, the memories of the special times that you shared with the loved one will come flooding back, bringing tears of joy and also a tinge of sadness in your heart.

Memory bears are usually made with a special piece of clothing that was once worn or owned by the loved one. The clothing is then stitched or simply worn on the memory bears and they are like a symbol of what once used to be, and what forever will be in a special place inside us. There are also others who prefer to include something other than clothing on their memory bears which remind them of the person, and there are many ways to create one that would serve to remind us of that someone special. Scott Kalitta Crash Video Shocking Footage Of Death In Motion

News, Society, Sports June 23rd, 2008

Anyone who saw the Scott Kalitta crash video on ESPN would have been shocked and horrified as it was exactly like watching death in motion being replayed over and over again as Scott Kalitta was shown crashing his car in a flaming wreck in the crash video. The incredible thing was that ESPN chose to air it on national TV across the country and there must have been thousands who saw Scott Kalitta crash in the video and threw out their insides. It was truly horrifying to see the drag racing event end in such tragedy, as Scott Kalitta hurtled down the track during his qualifying round and no one really knows what went wrong but Scott Kalitta’s car simply start catching fire and when it finally crashed as shown in the crash video, there was an amazing burst of flames.

The Scott Kalitta crash video then showed the car burning and the staff stations for the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals drag race could not put out the flames in time nor save the poor man from the wreckage. Everyone saw how he died in the Scott Kalitta crash video and one wonders who would have to take the blame now. Would it be the NHRA? Hard to say because the Scott Kalitta crash video also showed the car traveling at almost 300 miles an hour and that might have contributed to the car going up in flames. I don’t know.
