Michael Jackson might have been despised during his later years due to a series of controversial and scandalous court cases against him that accused the pop star of being inappropriate in some situations. However, there is no denying that MJ is an icon in the pop world and a legend of music in his own right. Giving the world many great pop songs like “Beat It”, “Bad”, “Thriller”, Michael Jackson was also known as the consummate entertainer and professional (although the latter only during his most popular days before he gave way to strange behavior), delighting and thrilling the world and his fans with his dance moves, signature “Moonwalk”, unique singing style that had trademark howls and squeals that spawned so many copycats and impersonators down the years. MJ was reportedly training and practicing hard for the run of 10 farewell concerts, which was so popular that tickets were sold out within four hours earlier this year in March when released. It might have been that age and poor health was catching on to the star and could have contributed to his collapse at home and subsequent death. We will never know but it is better to remember Michael Jackson’s legacy than to get too much into the mystery surrounding his passing.

Being a fan of blues guitar, if I were living there, I know for sure that the House of Blues Houston will be a permanent nightly fix for me. Nothing sounds better than the sounds made by that genre just drifting out of speakers and filling hearts with love and warmth. Blues guitar will never sound the same again in the House of Blues Houston.

To hear Eli Mattson sing is a moment in true beauty, as the singer not only has pretty decent looks except for his strange sunken eyes that looked a bit scary, but his voice is just so beautiful. Deep, raspy, gravelly and simply moving, it was obvious that Eli Mattson moved the hearts of many on the show and there must have been many who would buy his record now if he were to release one. Eli Mattson is a true find on America’s Got Talent and there will definitely be a record deal coming his way in the near future.

The strange thing about singers like Eli Mattson is how come talent like him do not get record deals earlier. It could be luck, or it could be that there is just something missing about them. Eli Mattson looks like a very nice chap from the way he speaks and presents himself, but perhaps too nice a guy and nowadays entertainment demands that the star should also be able to court controversy. Of course a guy like Eli Mattson would still be able to do well if he were simply an outright singer’s singer and just released great album after album, but nothing gets you more attention and hype than controversy especially if you are in the entertainment industry.

How about singing gospel songs for Eli Mattson as his voice definitely suits that style. Or blues. Or maybe country. What does Eli Mattson specialize in really, in terms of genre? There was not much indication of that even as he sung Walking In Memphis which is a song that is often chosen by other participants on talent shows. Eli Mattson will probably need to show more of his different sides and talent and the different genres he can handle, in order to be noticed more and to do more in the future.

The Girl Next Door soundtrack also helped to make the film much better, with the songs inserted at the perfect moments in each point of the movie. It spoke volumes of the work of the editing staff or whoever did the music editing. It was strange, somehow The Girl Next Door cast also seemed to melt into the songs, making them come to live in a subliminal way. The Girl Next Door soundtrack of course did not feature all the songs in the film if I am not wrong, but that is always normal for most movies and their soundtracks released.

For most people who have seen the film, they will not remember The Girl Next Door soundtrack as much as they did Elisha Cuthbert. The actress did not show all due to contract agreements, but she still held many movie goers’ attention. It is difficult to beat showing some skin in films, especially teen flicks where you know most of your viewers will be teenagers bursting with hormones. But The Girl Next Door soundtrack was too good for me and I can still listen to it over and over again enjoying every single second of it. It could be one of the best movie soundtracks ever produced and The Girl Next Door soundtrack is highly recommended for all fans of the movie and movie fans in general.

After being diagnosed that Amy Winehouse has emphysema, the junkie pop singer was then reported to have told her father not to worry while she laid prone on her hospital bed and said that she knew it was time to stop taking drugs. But we are not hearing this from her for the first time, and Amy Winehouse having emphysema will not be the end of her problems and drug addiction. Even this condition alone could cripple her if not treated soon. Will we ever get another album from the drug addict singer, because a total wreck she might be, but when she is on the top of her form, she can really sing. There are certainly other Beatles albums that might be named by music critics as being miles better than the one I like, but to each his own and everyone’s tastes are different. Music critics’ tastes are of course, in their opinion, much better than the rest of the world and common man, but sometimes they can call crap a beautiful thing, while I prefer to call the rest of the Beatles discography that term, and the best one for me is definitely Beatles VI.
